Fall Class Offering: Watercolor Journaling

This fall I will be teaching the following:

The Art of Watercolor Journaling: This series of classes will focus on developing observational and watercolor skills to record the world around us. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist, journaling provides a self-made reference of techniques and a judgement free place to practice. Journaling is "watercolor to go". Join us for a fun and rewarding class.
Starts September 17, 6 - 8 PM, for 12 weeks, $180. Call E.W. Poore, to register, 603-622-3802. The studio is located at 531 Front Street, Manchester, NH.

More than a Card, Less Than a Book 2

Here is my second card/booklet, "A Day at the Beach". It is attached to a front and end cover that are separate from each other, and is a slightly heavier stock, so that it will stand on its own better than the Labastide-Murat booklet does. I rather like the more "book like" presentation of the first one, however, it is nice for display to have it stand up in a "Japanese screen" fashion. There are 6 panels on the front for the beach cross-section image and four on the back for a map of the area. The bottom image shows how all the art work was done on one sheet of watercolor paper so that it could be copied for printing in one scan. One scan makes the project affordable. I always have the printer add a "circle C" and a date after my name and title to give it copyright protection.
